Publication Ethics
International Journal of Conservation and Aquatic Innovation Research (CAIR) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This statement outlines the ethical responsibilities of all parties involved in the publishing process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher, in accordance with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original, have not been previously published, and are not under consideration by other journals. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be provided. All data presented in the manuscript should be accurate and obtained through ethical research practices. Any form of plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate authorship is strictly prohibited.
Ethical Responsibilities of Editors
Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based on the validity, originality, and significance of the submitted work. Editors must evaluate manuscripts fairly and objectively, without regard to the authors’ race, gender, institutional affiliation, or political beliefs. Confidentiality of submitted manuscripts must be maintained, and editors must avoid conflicts of interest.
Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions through objective and constructive peer review. Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents and must not use unpublished materials for personal advantage. Any potential conflicts of interest should be disclosed to the editor, and reviewers should report any suspected ethical misconduct.
Ethical Responsibilities of the Publisher
The publisher is committed to ensuring that commercial interests do not compromise editorial decisions. The publisher supports ethical publishing practices and works closely with editors to handle cases of suspected misconduct, plagiarism, or ethical violations in accordance with established guidelines.
